How we started

Fasoli’s Estates were born from a long family tradition that last since XVIII century when Lorena’s great grandfather moved from Mantova to the beautiful Valpolicella valley to work as metayer for landowners they cultivated vineyards. In the XIX century he bought lands in San Pietro in Cariano for devote himself together with his big family to the cultivation of vineyards and local fruits. After the big estate was divided in various land plots, to made each family independent; to Lorena grandfather was assigned the most southern part, where even today at the entrance there is a stone stele on which it’s written the date 1798, which witness the Napoleonic age of the land plot. During the World War in the now disappearing old cellar the wine was kept in big glass barrels which were walled up to prevent the army from destroying them. After the second World War the grandfather decided to abandon the winemaker business and he decide to devote himself to the care of his field and the same did his daughter Celestina. This passion was handed down to his daughter Lorena and she decided to go back to the old times. So she began to build a new cellar where it’s possible relive family’s emotions and traditions. She began the winemaker, kept alive the old vineyard, it has vines older than 40 years, used the present gems, preserved the environment and she converted her company in biologic. From here Fasoli’s Estates wine are born, from traditional character to let taste the typical Valpolicella’s flavors.
